Josh found out that AMC Theaters around the country are screening Back to the Future today in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary and we jumped at the chance to attend. This film is honestly one of my favorite films of all time … and I’ve never seen it in a theater. I am so excited, I can’t even tell you.

Movie Review: ‘Water For Elephants’

Yesterday was pretty much a travel day for David and me so it wasn’t really all that exciting. After a quick Easter Egg hunt in the front yard of David’s parent’s home, we had to get our butts to the airport for our flight back to LA. Because we did have one stop on our journey, we couldn’t get home as quickly as we would’ve liked … but our layover in Cincinnati, OH did afford us a very nice Easter brunch surprise.

We found an Outback Steakhouse in the airport in Cincinnati and I was able to stuff my fave partake of a delicious plate of Aussie Cheese Fries (pronounced Aussie Chayze Froys) midway thru our journey home. Trust me … it helped make the day go by so much faster :)

We did get home early enough in the day here in LA so that we could go out for a bit … we ended up seeing a movie at the ArcLight (review forthcoming). As much fun as we had in NYC and CT all week long, nothing beats being home, sweet, home here in SoCal :)

Our dear Jake Gyllenhaal, who was recently spied in the close company of Country/Pop star Taylor Swift, was spotted enjoying a lunch date with Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps here in SoCal yesterday afternoon. Despite the seeming coziness of the pair, I’m pretty sure there was nothing untoward going on between the two … Jake and Busy are godparents to Matilda Rose Ledger (daughter of Michelle Williams and the late Heath Ledger) and were prolly just having a friendly pow-wow together:

That being said, I think I would much prefer it if Jake were romantically linked to Busy rather than with Taylor. As much as I would love Jakey poo to be single and available (you know, just in case), I think I could live with him settling down with a nice girl like Busy. I think Jake gettin’ bizzy with Busy makes a Hell of a lot more sense than his fraternizing with Taylor.

Chris Brown Once Again Shows His True Colors

Chris Brown managed to offend thousands people with just a few ignorant words this week, but it wasn’t his so-called slur that has me miffed, it’s his complete failure to apologize. I have been able to preview Beyoncé‘s new album and I’m sad to say that I am totally underwhelmed. I don’t hear any singles on the disc. As for these promo photos, the Queen B looks amazing as always. I’m hopeful that the bonus tracks on the deluxe version of 4 will be fantastic … because if not, I may have to pass on picking up this album altogether :/

Despite the fact that Judge Stephanie Sautner doesn't think Lindsay Lohan should be periodically tested for drug and alcohol usage since the order expired back in February, the hard-pAArtying actress' probation officer certainly does - because not only did she fail a urine test on June 13th, she refused two prior for narcotics!

According to the probation reported submitted to Sautner this morning:

"Probationer is not making an effort to cooperate."

"Reports from news sources indicate that the defendant had a party at her home on June 12th, 2011. The fact that she was required to submit to a narcotic test the next day, and it was positive for alcohol, verifies that the defendant violated the court's order by continuing to drink. The defendant's behavior indicates she is not attempting to change. Due to her continued behavior, it appears that the defendant does not view being on the electronic monitoring program as a privilege. The defendant should be taken off electronic monitoring, and be ordered to serve suitable time in custody."

Ugh! And the CYCLE continues.

Whatevs. She'll be released soon enough, and then we're sure it will only be a matter of weeks before Lindsay does whatever Lindsay wants, and lands herself back in the courtroom.

Her luck can only stretch SO thin, and she is LONG overdue for a reality check!
