Lil Wayne And Drake Team Up For Watch The Throne II Joint Album!

After seeing these two tear it up at the BET Awards (above), we're pret-ty excited for this announcement!
Following the footsteps of Jay-Z and Kanye West, rappers Lil Wayne and Drake are teaming up for their OWN collaborative album.
Here's what Birdman had to say about the new project:
"Wayne and I recently talked about [a collaboration with [...]

Great. So, another person is cast in the movie that people still have no idea what it's about.

Congrats?

Patrick Wilson is the latest actor to be cast in Ridley Scott's mysterious sci-fi flick, Prometheus. We can't tell you who he'll play, because we don't know. We don't know anything! No one does - except MAYBE Ridley Scott. We've heard that this is supposed to play as a pre-quel to Alien, which sounds amazing, but we could use a for more plot details than just that!

Right? Are U with us???

A Fantastic Present Idea for Children This Christmas

Each year from November 1 through to midnight November 30 is National Novel Writing Month, when thousands of people will attempt to write and submit a 50,000 word book. It's fun, it's crazy, it's fast. The idea is to concentrate on output rather quality; to spend the time creating rather than correcting. But...

Cultivating Creativity Part II

When learning how to draw a face you need to understand the structure, proportions and the various parts that make up that face. Before I offer you some kind of guideline for the structure, proportions and the various parts of the face, I need to make it clear, that whilst it is really important to get a good understanding of the components that make up the face, it is not an exact science by any means. If you have ever researched the topic you'll know what I mean, you'll find there is a lot of conflicting information and many offering some kind of proof to back up their own particular theory. I am sure no one is deliberately trying to mislead us of course; I believe it is because humans are very diverse beings and there are just so many variables to take into account.

How to Choose Your Violin Wisely

As I was watching BET the other night, some friends and I were having a discussion about the best underground rappers from the South. So I decided if I was going to make a list of the best, what is the one word I can think of to judge them by? And the word I came up with was consistency. Let's see who on this list meets this criteria.

Watch: Beyoncé Releases A Second Music Video Teaser For Run The World (Girls)

A few weeks ago Beyoncé released a short teaser video for her new single Run The World (Girls) and today we has released a second teaser. Altho the single itself has been released on iTunes, we don’t know yet when the music video will be released, it seems evident from the look of these teaser [...]

As I mentioned earlier, David and I were lucky enough to see an early screening of the year’s FIRST Summer blockbuster film Thor here in LA last night and I am happy to report that I really loved the film. Forget for a minute that Thor is a really exciting action movie, what I loved most about the film was the story and the direction. Yes, folks, this is a superhero film worth seeing for cinematic reasons rather than merely FX and explosions.

With Kenneth Branaugh in the director’s seat, you have to know that Thor is not going to be your run-of-the-mill superhero flick. Yes, Thor tells the tale of the God of Thunder depicted in the long-running Marvel comic book series … but it also tells the centuries old myths from Norse lore. Much of the scenery that is used for the worlds of Asgard and Jötunheim is all CGI … but it is among the most flawlessly beautiful CGI I’ve ever seen. We saw Thor in IMAX 3D and I couldn’t get over how amazingly beautiful the special effects looked. Branaugh really outdid himself with this film. His mastery of bringing Shakespeare‘s stories to the big screen is legendary … who knew he had it in him to have the same skill for big budget action films as well? As for the story, we learn the Thor “creation myth” (ie. how the superhero Thor came to be) but we also get a very loose retelling of the Norse myth as well. Not only is the story adventurous but it’s also very funny. The entire cast is just fantastic … Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin is EVERYTHING. He plays the Allfather to a tee. Kat Dennings provides the PERFECT comedic relief … but lead actor Chris Hemsworth also provides a few LULz of his own. And people, let me tell you … Hemsworth makes a beautiful god. There’s a shirtless scene that literally made the audience gasp. I really loved every single second of this film. I was a bit worried how they were going to make the god Thor seem believable on Earth … but they managed to not only make him believable but kinda relatable as well. Do you remember how flawlessly executed the first Iron Man film was? Thor is just as good or BETTER than that. If you can, I recommend seeing the film in IMAX (IMAX 3D if you can) because the size and scope really makes a difference. Thor sets a high standard for the rest of the superhero and blockbuster films to come this year. It’s really fantastic.

MAKE SURE you stay in the theater until after the credits finish rolling … there is an extra scene at the very, very end that you cannot miss.

I cannot recommend Thor enough … it’s an excellent blockbuster film … I really think all y’all will truly enjoy it.

Tattoo Given In School

… And the art teacher watched as the fellow student inked the 16-year-old and two other kids.

Really?!

That's pretty atrocious, to have someone who is in an authority position completely ignore the dangers that this poses. And it DID have dangers, it turns out:

Lovella Deloatch let her daughter Timisha get her grandmother's initials professionally tattooed on her arm and the words "beautiful nightmare" on her lower back.

That was before they learned Timisha is a type 1 diabetic.

"It could get infected easily, she could get gangrene easily. It wouldn't heal, it could still be bleeding and I wouldn't know because it was on the inside, she could lose a limb, anything. She might have made a bad judgement call for herself, but she's 16, the adult was supposed to have stepped in and said no."

We just don't know how this makes sense to someone who was hired to teach these kids. It's such a stupid idea. Seriously. Even the most reckless person could see it!

An investigation is under way, of course, and we'd definitely like to see something done about this!

Terrible!

Taylor Swift How to Get Great Tickets Closer to Taylor

12:30pm, Tuesday March 15th. I lay in bed with a nasty fever as I receive a call from the Deftones publicist letting me know Chino would be available for an interview at 3:30 that day. I knew I had an upcoming interview with him, but no idea it would be that soon, so needless to say, I was not completely prepared. Luckily, I, along with some close friends (who also love the Deftones) were able to come up with a quick interview in the short time we had! My gratitude goes out to them as well as Chino Moreno for taking the time to do the interview!

Sexuality in Art and Music

There possibly could not be a human being on earth who doesn't like the idea of travel. Travel always brings to mind great scenery, exotic locales, undiscovered destinations, blue waters, the great skyline and so many other different things to different people. Whatever location you choose to visit, you can be sure that you will be able to pick up something related to that destination.

Home Recording Studio Tips: Learn How to Record Songs at Home

For a man who has gone through depression and drug addiction, divorce twice, serious personal injury (after a 1969 motorcycle accident in Martha's Vineyard) and family bereavement (with the loss of his brother Alex in 1993), it is astonishing that James Taylor's life in music has been largely an expression of sensitivity, hope and compassion - not of self-pity, anger or blind hostility. For these reasons alone, I appreciate James Taylor music so much.

Home Karaoke Some Technical Terms You Should Get To Know

James Taylor was born 12 March 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts, the second of five children, to a father who practiced medicine and a mother who trained as an opera singer. Taylor was to become one of the biggest stars to emerge from the late 60s / early 70s folk-rock phenomenon, a more soulful practitioner than such earthier, troubadour predecessors as Woody Guthrie or Bob Dylan.

Confused by Guitar Effects: Clean/Boost, Compressor, Distortion, Overdrive, Fuzz?

Throughout his career, Elvis Costello has to his credit explored many different genres of music, from the spiky guitar pop of his early albums, to the country and western projects of the early 80s and mid 90s, to his experiments with The Brodsky Quartet and writing collaborations with the likes of Allen Toussaint and Paul McCartney. However, it is on the song Shipbuilding that Costello seems to find a lyric that combines a righteous anger with a level of compassion and sensitivity perhaps not normally associated with his songwriting.

Supernatural ‘Mommy Dearest’ Recap

Supernatural’s latest episode entitled ‘Mommy Dearest’ aired tonight. Get the recap here and tell us – what’s up with Castiel?! Was that a shocker or what? Details below the fold. It’s hard to believe that Cas would be the next in line to go dark side, but it’s true. Sam, Dean and Bobby have all been touched by evil at one time or another, I just didn’t think Castiel would be on the same wavelength as Crowley, who we thought was dead after Cas supposedly salted and burned his bones. One things for sure, the war in Heaven has to be pretty bad if he’s teaming up with the guy who sold his soul for three more inches in his former life. Leaving clues here and there throughout the episode, it wasn’t until the very end that we really get confirmation of Cas’ hidden agenda. After making comments about a Wayward child, Eve’s rant about collections of souls, as well as Cas’ comments about the greater purpose, and Dean dead set against working with demons and monsters, you only hope that the arrows pointing to Cas where smoke and mirrors. But that’s not so. When Mommy Dearest first kicked off [...]

SEO Tips For Your Music Web Site

Rockabilly music is alive and well after almost 60 years on the scene. Modern rockabilly fans keep the music alive by supporting the bands that play it. But these fans don't just buy rockabilly records and go to rockabilly shows. Many of them live the rockabilly lifestyle. They dress in vintage clothing. Decorate their houses with vintage furniture, artwork, and color schemes. They drive classic cars. And of course, they listen to their favorite music on vintage hi-fi equipment. These fans are often referred to as "The Rockabillies."

Love Triangle Interview With Wendy Williams!

Wendy Williams is one heck of a busy lady and her schedule just got busier with the addition of the new GSN game show Love Triangle. The show premiered last week and is getting great buzz but then again pretty much everything Wendy does generates buzz. I recently had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A interview with the one and only Wendy Williams. She dished about her new show, her busy life and her recent stint on Dancing With The Stars. Williams is a talker that is for sure which made the interview one of the most enjoyable ones I have ever done. Obviously a big part of what Wendy shared had to do with her new show Love Triangle, which she and her husband just so happen to executive produce. The schedule for taping the show fit into her talk show schedule nicely which she admitted is the first question she asked before taking on the project. That plus the fact that she loves game shows made her decision to take the job an easy one. Love Triangle taped 32 episodes in about four weekends leaving her free to film her talk show during the week. What was [...]

Movie Review: ‘Scream 4′

At last … after many years of hoping, praying, talking … then planning and waiting … Scream 4 finally opened in theaters here in the US yesterday. It seems like a lifetime ago that we first heard that the Scream film franchise was being rebooted with a new sequel and an ice age since the [...]

Yesterday was a really fun day for David and me. After an early showing of Scream 4 (review forthcoming), we made our way to the Gibson Amphitheater to see Janet Jackson LIVE in concert on the second night of her LA stop of her Number Ones Greatest Hits Tour. David had seen Janet twice before in concert … last night was my first … and it was AMAZINGLY fun!

Our show was no nonsense, no frills … just HIT song after HIT song for about 2 hours. The show was pretty much one big medley. In order for Janet to perform all of her hit songs — and I mean ALL of them — she had to perform them in medley format. The show started with a medley of upbeat dance songs, then cooled down with a medley of ballads before going back into more killer dance tracks. Even Janet‘s onstage dress was bare bones … jeans, a tank top and combat boots … that’s all. To be honest, I was a bit bummed that the show wasn’t a big production. I’ve seen photos from her Rhythm Nation and Velvet Rope tours and she really knows how to put on a show. This tour, tho, is all about the songs … her massive collection of hits. She did not disappoint. I was in HEAVEN singing and dancing along to all of her songs. I actually remembered and busted out the dance breakdown parts to both Miss You Much and If right there in the aisles. I had no shame, it was a blast! The show was so fun … it was an honor to see Janet live in concert :)

Choosing Oscar Nominees and Winners

I've written these two articles to give you some basic and intermediate tips to correctly color balance your photos during a wedding. As I stated in the other article, a wedding has many light sources and these light sources compete to be the main light in your photos. The problem is, if these light sources have very different color temperatures, your images will have an incorrect white balance.

Last week we got to see a few photos of mama Sarah Jessica Parker and her twin daughters Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge as they stepped out into the brisk Autumn afternoon in NYC. Today we get to see a new batch of even cuter photos of SJP and the girls out with hubby/daddy Matthew Broderick over the weekend:

The only thing missing from this perfect family portrait … is SJP and MB‘s eldest son James Wilkie. It’s possible that Jimmy was feelin’ a bit too old to go to the playground with his parents and baby sisters but it would’ve been nice to see the family all together … still, it looks like the fam had a great time :) Aren’t the little girls just so cute?

3 Styles of Jazz Music

Jazz is a music genre that originated at the beginning of the 20th century. It was the African American communities in the Southern United States from a confluence of African and European music traditions that created jazz. From its early development until the present, jazz has incorporated music from 19th and 20th century American popular music that actually worked.

Why Is Music Important? 3 Possible Answers

This article looks briefly at the incredible lyrics of the US progressive metal band, Dream Theater. Over the last 25 years they have contributed 10 studio albums of unrivalled versatility and depth. The subject matter tackles all sorts of difficult subjects, from addiction to psychological disorder to dysfunctional love triangles. And more.
